Meagan Livingston and Landon Sanders; Young Couple Killed in Late-Night Collision in Santa Rosa County
The close-knit community of Milton is grieving after a tragic late-night crash claimed the lives of two teenagers, Meagan Livingston and Landon Sanders, leaving families and friends in deep shock.
The collision occurred around 11:25 p.m. on April 24 in Santa Rosa County, at a rural intersection involving a pickup truck and an SUV. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the pickup—carrying six people—was traveling east when it collided with the northbound SUV. The impact caused the truck to veer off the road, strike trees, and overturn.
Both Livingston and Sanders were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Several others in the truck suffered serious injuries, including the driver and multiple passengers, some of whom remain hospitalized. The SUV driver sustained only minor injuries.
Known in the community as a close and devoted young couple, Meagan and Landon are being remembered for their strong bond and the joy they brought to those around them. Their sudden loss has deeply affected classmates, friends, and loved ones, many of whom are still trying to process the tragedy.
In the aftermath, the community has come together to support the grieving families, including efforts to assist with funeral expenses and provide emotional support during this difficult time.
The Florida Highway Patrol’s Traffic Homicide Unit is continuing to investigate the crash, examining factors such as speed, right-of-way, and road conditions. Authorities are also reminding drivers to exercise caution, particularly on rural roads at night.
As the investigation continues, Milton mourns the loss of two young lives gone far too soon, holding onto memories while seeking answers and healing.
