After Battle With Rare HLH Disease; Community Mourns Loss Of Victoria Ayala Of Southern Texas
Victoria Ayala, of South Texas, has passed away after bravely battling hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), a rare and severe autoimmune condition. Her death has left her family, friends, and the wider community in deep mourning.
Victoria faced her illness with extraordinary courage, spending significant time in hospital care in preparation for a bone marrow transplant. Even during her treatment, she remained deeply thoughtful of her loved ones, often prioritizing their emotional well-being and trying to comfort them through her own difficult journey.
She is being remembered as a vibrant and loving individual whose personality brought warmth and joy to those around her. Family and friends describe her as full of life, energy, and laughter, someone who formed strong and meaningful connections and had a special ability to brighten any room she entered.
Her family shared that while her passing is heartbreaking, they find comfort in the memories they created with her and in the love she gave so freely. They also described her as a “beautiful, full of life dancing queen,” reflecting the joy and spirit she carried throughout her life.
Funeral services have been arranged in the Rio Grande Valley, with a viewing scheduled for Monday, April 27 at 4:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Services in San Juan, followed by a funeral service on Tuesday, April 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Palm Valley Gardens in Pharr. Friends, relatives, and community members are invited to attend and celebrate her life.
Victoria Ayala will be deeply missed, but she will be remembered for her strength, her love, and the lasting impact she made on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
